ENDURING FRIENDSHIP

I value enduring friendships. Most of my blood relatives have long passed on. So I adopt spiritually, those who fill an emptiness inside my heart chakra.

It is easy to have acquaintances. But to cherish long-lasting, loyal friendships is a soul-gift.

When my cherished friends become ill, or pass on, it breaks my heart. When they are hurting, I pray for them to heal. In my ancient lifetime, these precious souls do the same for me.

Thank you for the years and love invested.  Thank you for the sincere warmth, respect and loyalty. You really are my family.
Love RubyNorma *o*

p.s. even though you have gone to spirit, we are still enduring friends.

PRECIOUS SOULS, REST IN PEACE UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN

DO NO HARM

Many years ago, I began  a course of studies leading to an MA in COMPARATIVE RELIGIONS.  Many told me it would cause me to become an atheist.  No way!
In fact, it solidified my spiritual awareness of GOD/DESS Almighty.
One adventure in my studies drew me to Tibetan Buddhism. Our teacher is a brilliant, humorous, and worldly man who is the adopted son of The Dalai Lama. His name is Za Choeche Rinpoche.

Recently we discovered UTUBES of Za Choeche's teachings.  This beloved guru is still helping me, even though his temple (SANGA) is too far to go to since they moved away.
The most important information gleaned from him is the following:

DO NO HARM.
DO YOUR BEST.
CLEAR YOUR MIND.

These are the most basic teachings of THE BUDDHA.
Thank you for listening.

ARE YOU LISTENING?

WE HAVE ENTERED AN AGE WHEN PEOPLE DO NOT LISTEN TO EACH OTHER. THE PRE-OCCUPATION WITH CELL-PHONES, AND ETC. HAS TAKEN OVER.... OUR CHILDREN SIT AT MEAL~TIME WITH PHONES AND TEXT. TEXTING KILLS PEOPLE WHO ARE DRIVING, AND OFTEN, KILLS PEOPLE IN THE STREETS. AND ON AND ON.
I SEND MY CONDOLENCES TO ALL WHO MISS THE WAY WE USED TO COMMUNICATE VERBALLY, OR BY LETTER, OR BY SHOWING OTHERS SOME VERY NEEDED COMPASSION.
RECENTLY, I EXPERIENCED A TERRIBLE AMOUNT OF LOSS. WHEN I CALLED SOMEONE WHO I HAVE ALWAYS MADE TIME FOR, THEY PUT ME ON HOLD TO ANSWER A DIFFERENT CALLER. FINALLY THE CALL JUST DISCONNECTED. I HAVE BECOME OUT-DATED, NOT USEFUL, AND WHEN I REALLY NEED IT, NOT LISTENED TO.  IF THIS IS DESCRIBING YOU, LET ME KNOW VIA COMMENTS, HOW YOU ARE DOING? DR. Y.
